"ITEP is an incredible tour company. My mom, sisters, and I planned to visit Machu Picchu in March of 2020 but were unable to do so because of the pandemic. ITEP gave us all vouchers for our prepaid deposits to use at a later time. They allowed a 1 year extension for the vouchers and for my family's vouchers to be transfered to my friend and I since my family was no longer able to make the trip. "We chose the 7 day/6 night Salkantay to Inca Trail trek. All I can say is it was not even close to what we expected. After reading the website many times and asking tons of questions, which were always answered promptly by the sales team, we were provided an experience that could not have been described on a website. First, we thought we would be in a group of other trekkers like similar companies that made their clients wear their logos on their backpacks the whole way. This was not our case...."

"Mauricio took me on a private two day tour with the short Inca trail and macchu picchu circuit 1&2. I was a solo female traveller and no one booked the same tour as me so it was just me and him - he made me feel safe , answered all my annoying historical questions , looked after me from start to finish and has been the best tour guide I’ve ever had . "I was feeling pretty down about having to miss out on my original Inca Trail hike due to illness, when I came across ITEP offering a single day tour. Was picked up from my hotel and transported via taxi, bus, train, bus all the way to the entrance to the Inca Citadel. It was a blessing with my fitness levels not being recovered. "We had a great Salkantay hike! Everything was organized professionally. Our guides Jesús and Mauricio took good care of us and were knowledgeable about the local culture as well as Macchu Pichu. Generous and Benigno made sure that our things were transported safely and that we had wonderful meals! One thing to note: since we did the shorter hike (3 nights vs. 4 nights), our group was split before the last day...."

"We had a great experience on our 2 day, 1 night Inka Trail excursion. Our guide, Johann, was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about local wildlife as well as the history of the region. The hike itself was certainly challenging, but ultimately so worth it. It was really nice to have all of the Machu Picchu-related logistics taken care of (train/bus tickets, entrance fees, food, etc). 100% would recommend this company and tour...."
